While the original Edge of Tomorrow was in fact based on a Japanese novel, the title of which translates to All You Need Is Kill, there’s no word yet on whether or not the sequel will build on the source material or go its own way. As long as it gives us more kickass heroines to watch and enjoy, I’ll be showing up to the theater.
Jul 29, 2015 · With author Hiroshi Sakurazaka also said to be writing the direct sequel to the All You Need Is Kill novel, one wonders what Cruise has in store for a sequel, since the first film handled the alien invasion plot without much of an opening for a second film and he was coy on what ideas he had for the sequel.
All You Need Is Kill is based on the novel of the same name, so I don’t know what comes from the novel and what’s new in the manga. That said, let’s talk about the whole thing (parts 1 and 2). All You Need Is Kill is extremely entertaining and it keeps you thrilled from first page to last. It’s science-fiction but more fiction than science I guess.
